Mockery abounds as 'Melania' documentary bombs: 'Every seat is still available!'

The internet mocked President Donald Trump Monday as he attempted to promote his wife's documentary "Melania" — with plenty of people pointing out that ticket sales didn't appear to be looking good.

The documentary was set to release on Friday and was co-produced and directed by Brett Ratner, who has been accused of rape and sexual misconduct. In December the Department of Justice released thousands of files connected to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, including a photo of Ratner embracing a shirtless Jean-Luc Brunel, a French model scout and owner of the international modeling agency MC2 Model Management, a modeling agency with considerable financial support from Epstein. Brunel died in 2022 of apparent suicide while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges, and in a manner not dissimilar to how Epstein died in 2019.

“One hundred percent this message works – there’s no question about it,” said Texas Republican consultant Vinny Minchillo, speaking with Politico. “This has been polled up one side and down the other, and with Texas Republican primary voters, it works. It is a thing they are legitimately scared of.”

Republicans put on notice as Trump eyes 'norm-shattering' midterm plot

The Republican Party must stand against Donald Trump's midterm plot as best they can, a political analyst has warned.

Whether the GOP representatives actively call out the president for recent, unprecedented actions is yet to be seen. Nathaniel Rakich, writing for Salon, warned that Trump may call on the troops in 2026, as he had wanted to in 2020. Trump deployed thousands of National Guard personnel in Washington, D.C., shortly after the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Top MAGA gov rebukes Trump's White House over ICE killings: 'They need to recalibrate'

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has been one of President Donald Trump's closest allies on immigration policy, working hand in hand with him, giving Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement all the state support they ask for, and even building his own mini-border patrol operation under former President Joe Biden called Operation Lone Star.

But after weeks of brutal and sometimes deadly ICE operations that have clashed with state governments around the country and caused unrest in Minneapolis, even he is now distancing himself from ICE's actions — and saying Trump needs a new strategy.
