MAGA world furious after attorney general backs demands for 'speedy' Trump trial

Allies of Donald Trump are enraged after Attorney General Merrick Garland expressed support for a "speedy" trial in regards to the ex-president's election interference case, Newsweek reported.

While the trial is scheduled to begin on March 4, there may be a delay since Trump's lawyers are arguing that he is immune from prosecution because his actions were carried out while he was president. Some think he may be trying to postpone the trial until after the election so he can try to dismiss the charges against him.

Former President Donald Trump's attorneys are arguing that not only did their client not engage in an insurrection against the United States government, but that he was acting as a peacemaker while his supporters violently stormed the United States Capitol.
