Bidens report $600k in 2021 income

US President Joe Biden, pictured April 14, 2022, has made public his annual family income

Washington (AFP) - US President Joe Biden -- who pledged transparency around his personal finances while in office -- and his wife Jill Biden reported a bit more than $600,000 on their federal tax returns for 2021, the White House said Friday.

The couple paid $150,439 in taxes on $610,702, for a tax rate of 24.6 percent, the White House said.

During Thursday's edition of Pod Save America, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked about Joe Biden's January comments about Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy in which the president called him a "stupid son of a b****" for asking a question about inflation.

“He works for a network that provides people with questions that, nothing personal to any individual, including Peter Doocy, but might make anyone sound like a stupid son of a b****," Psaki replied.

Brooklyn man faces hate crime charges for sucker-punching 70-year-old Sikh in Queens

On Thursday, PIX 11 News reported that a 19-year-old Brooklyn resident faces several charges, including a hate crime offense, for randomly attacking a 70-year-old Sikh man visiting New York City.

"Vernon Douglas is charged with hate crime assault, robbery and aggravated harassment, the NYPD said. Douglas allegedly attacked Nirmal Singh as he walked in the Richmond Hill neighborhood in Queens on April 3. Singh suffered a broken nose and bruising from the assault," reported Finn Hoogensen. "Singh had only been in New York City for two weeks when he was attacked. He is in the United States on a visitor visa, temporarily staying at the Sikh Cultural Society in Queens. He was attacked just two blocks from the temple. "
