'As Zen as the Tasmanian Devil': Fox News host mocked for Trump 'court meditation' excuse
Donald Trump isn't sleeping in court; he is actually searching for nirvana.
That's according to Fox News anchor Jesse Watters.
Wearing a straight face, the TV broadcaster made the fulsome defense of former President Donald Trump's alleged courtroom nap times while he stands trial for the criminal hush money cover-up case where he faces 34-counts of falsifying business records.

"He’s not sleeping," Watters declared to his "The Five" co-host Greg Gutfeld. "He’s meditating, Greg."
"He’s in a meditative state. And when you’re defensive about something, you avoid something. Trump’s not defensive of being old and tired. He can shut his eyes and not feel bad about it like Sleepy Joe."
The mention of "Sleepy Joe" is aimed at President Joe Biden, echoing the nickname Trump has given him along with "Crooked Joe."
Trump has already tried to explain away his shuteye disposition in court.
"I don’t fall asleep during the Crooked D.A.’s Witch Hunt, especially not today," Trump declared. "I simply close my beautiful blue eyes."
Trump's rebuttal attempted to accentuate his physical beauty and mental acuity despite eyewitness accounts that he's been nodding off frequently in the Lower Manhattan courtroom.
Watters' latest suggestion that Trump is internalizing his thoughts and concentrating on his breath, body, and sounds was met with widespread skepticism.

In the early days of the trial, Trump was also accused of not just sleeping but also of being cursed with a case of flatulence.
"Donald Trump is actually farting in the courtroom and that it's very stinky around him," MeidasTouch co-founder Ben Meiseles reported at the time. "It's a putrid odor in the courtroom and Trump's lawyers are repulsed by the scent and the smell."
Bruce Goldberg doesn't buy Trump's blissful state in court, posting: "He’s not sleeping. He’s meditating. Apparently, I got 8 hours of meditation in last night."
"Like my dad used to say, 'I was just resting my eyes'" reads a sarcastic post by @cathyob1.
"This isn't the flex he thinks it is," @A_tothe_Z_Amber argues.
