Trump's psychologist niece pinpoints one behavior that shows 'all is not well' in his mind

Mary Trump says her uncle’s recent comments about men’s bodies point to a problem with his brain.

The clinical psychologist and author appeared on her Substack, The Good in Us, in a conversation with SiriusXM host Dean Obeidallah. Obeidallah asked whether President Donald Trump had always commented on men’s looks or whether he had simply lost his filter.

“Oh, I mean, it’s what we call disinhibition, and it is a sign that all is not well with him cognitively speaking,” Mary Trump said.

Trump has repeatedly praised the physique of Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio) in the final days of the midterm campaign. That includes a rally riff on Husted’s football career and a TikTok in which he said the senator has a “very powerful” backside.

Mary Trump said she never heard her uncle talk about men that way growing up, though he was always conscious of how attractive people were.

“I think it was just because he liked to associate himself with attractiveness,” she said.

“But this is absolutely off the charts,” she added.

She argued that Republicans would be outraged if a Democrat talked that way. She pointed to the GOP attacks on Texas Democratic Senate nominee James Talarico’s sexual orientation, which she said have “no evidence whatsoever.”

Disinhibition, or a loss of the usual social restraints on what a person says or does, can be associated with several neurological conditions. Mary Trump has not examined her uncle. Trump, 80, is the oldest person ever elected president, and the White House has repeatedly said he is in excellent health.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Mary Trump predicted her uncle would react badly if Republicans lose on Tuesday. “He’s going to be much worse, partially because he’s incapable of admitting a loss,” she said, calling it “a massive narcissistic injury, just as it was in 2020.”
