Fox News hosts see their pasts come back to haunt them as ex-colleague declares war

Former Fox News meteorologist Janice Dean has a sharp response for ex-colleague Eric Bolling, who attacked her for criticizing Megyn Kelly. She told people to look up why he left the network.

The fight started earlier this week, when Dean went after Kelly over the podcast host’s comments about actress Christina Applegate, who has multiple sclerosis.

“I’ve kept my mouth shut for a long time about #meangirl @megynkelly,” Dean wrote on X. “She used to be one of my closest friends and then she ghosted me after she endorsed @andrewcuomo for mayor and I told her she broke my heart.”

Dean, who has had MS for more than 20 years, said Kelly “knows how long it took for doctors to diagnose me.”

“Her comments about @1capplegate are disgusting,” Dean wrote. “I think Christina is brave for telling the truth and I’m grateful she became a voice for so many of us.”

She followed up: “Incase you don’t know, I have #multiplesclerosis and I am one of those loser people @megynkelly refers to as wanting to talk about my diagnosis to help others.” She added that she’d been “in and out of the hospital” for several weeks and would say more when she’s well enough.

Bolling, a former Fox News host and co-creator of “The Five,” jumped to Kelly’s defense on Wednesday.

“Janice, I worked with both of you at Fox. I saw firsthand how Megyn backed you and helped elevate your career,” Bolling wrote. “Watching you publicly trash her now and slap ‘#meangirl’ on it is f---ing disgraceful.”

“You should be ashamed of this,” he added. “@megynkelly, proud to call you my friend. I have your back.”

Another X user then piled on in the replies, asking Dean, “How come FOX let you go Janice?! Eric was excellent at Fox.”

Dean set the record straight on both of their exits.

“I chose to leave because of multiple sclerosis,” she wrote Thursday. “The other guy had to leave because...you can Google it.”

Bolling and Fox News parted ways in September 2017. HuffPost had reported that he allegedly sent lewd, unsolicited messages to female colleagues. Bolling denied the allegations and filed a defamation lawsuit against the reporter.
