Rep. Lauren Boebert's (R-CO) oldest son, Tyler, was cited for misdemeanor child abuse after the lawmaker's two-year-old grandchild wandered away from the family home in Windsor, Colorado, on Sunday, Windsor police told local news outlet 9News on Tuesday. Tyler Boebert was cited for a similar charge at the family home last July, according to the report.

According to The San Antonio Express-News, "A former staffer in Gonzales' district office who worked closely with the aide, Regina Ann 'Regi' Santos-Aviles, said she told him they had an affair in 2024, and that she spiraled into a depression after her husband discovered the relationship and Gonzales abruptly cut her off. He also shared with the San Antonio Express-News a screenshot of a text message from Santos-Aviles in which she acknowledged having an 'affair with our boss.'"

A Trump-appointed federal judge in Texas abruptly ended a closely watched terrorism trial Tuesday over a defense attorney's shirt.

Ten skiers were missing and another six were stranded Tuesday after a massive avalanche in Truckee, California.

According to NBC News, "An avalanche was reported in the Castle Peak area near Truckee at about 11:30 a.m., which affected a group of four mountain guides and 12 other skiers, the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. The sheriff’s office said at least six skiers survived the avalanche and remained at the site as of about 3:45 p.m., where they were still awaiting rescuers. The other 10 people were unaccounted for, the sheriff's office said."

Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) has had his campaign reported to the police by one of his main primary rivals — but at least outwardly, he isn't projecting any concern at all.

On Tuesday, Rep. Wesley Hunt, who is challenging Cornyn for the nomination, filed a report with the Harris County Constable's Office, accusing Cornyn's campaign of illegally revealing personal information about Hunt and his family. The controversy started when one of Cornyn's campaign strategists shared an image of Hunt's 2016 provisional ballot, alleging that he lied about the term of his military service to request a ballot for a race he wasn't registered to run in. The ballot did not have any of Hunt's personal information redacted.
