President Donald Trump has apparently directed Republicans to persuade a Democrat to leave his party and join the GOP, The New Republic reported on Wednesday.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) β€” who has often sided with Republican lawmakers and been questioned by critics over his party loyalty β€” has reportedly become a target for the president. Fetterman was the only Democrat to vote against the latest war powers resolution on Wednesday and was the deciding vote in the seventh attempt to end Trump's military operation in Iran.

Members of Congress could have key medical information exposed as a result of a breach, Politico reported on Wednesday.

"Lawmakers on Capitol Hill were informed this week of a data breach involving the congressional medical office that may have compromised personal information β€” including their prescription history," said the report. "The intrusions occurred March 1 and 3 and targeted RXNT, a medical software provider used by the Office of the Attending Physician to manage care for members of Congress, according to letters sent this week to affected individuals that were reviewed by POLITICO."

The state of Florida's deal for a Trump presidential library in Miami was effectively an illegal gift in violation of the U.S. Constitution, according to a lawsuit filed on Wednesday.

Trump unveiled plans for his library at the end of March. The structure, which is envisioned as a high-rise skyscraper with a luxury hotel built into it, will sit on land taken from Miami Dade College, one of the most heavily Hispanic higher education institutions in the United States. The land is valued at $67 million, but was sold off for the Trump library for just $10.
