Iranian-Americans are irate at President Donald Trump for delivering a "loss that can't be undone" during the recent bombing campaign.

Ex-GOP staffer flags 'most damning part' of Kristi Noem's brutal Senate grilling

Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem was shredded during Senate questioning on Tuesday, former Trump administration DHS staffer Miles Taylor told MS NOW's Nicolle Wallace on Tuesday — and, incredibly, he argued, the worst part wasn't even getting chewed out by a Republican senator for literally shooting a puppy.

"The person most culpable for the lowest approval ratings Trump has ever had since he descended the escalator is Kristi Noem," said Wallace. "I mean, I think 100 percent of Americans probably agree nothing other than shooting and murdering a puppy is sick. When that is being raised by members of your own party in televised hearings, how much of that does Donald Trump tolerate?"

Trump claims to cut off all trade with Spain over opposition to Iran strikes

President Donald Trump announced he ordered a complete trade cutoff with Spain after the country refused to allow U.S. military bases for operations against Iran. During a White House event on Tuesday, the president called Spain "terrible" and "unfriendly" for declining to support Operation Epic Fury. He instructed an aide to "cut off all dealings with Spain." Trump claimed the U.S. could unilaterally use Spanish bases regardless of permission, stating, "We could just fly in and use it. Nobody's going to tell us not to use it." However, he added that the administration chose not to pursue that option. Trump declared, "We're going to cut off all trade with Spain. We don't want anything to do with Spain."

Experts 'blown away' by new Trump policy for young pregnant migrants: 'Couldn't be worse'

Medical experts said on Tuesday that they are "blown away" by the Trump administration's new policy for pregnant migrants in its custody, according to a report.

Last July, the Trump administration created a policy requiring young pregnant migrants, some of whom are as young as 13, to be sent to a specific facility in San Benito, Texas, a decision that was made over "urgent objections from some of the administration's own health and child welfare officials," according to seven officials who spoke with NPR about the policy.

Trump's new pick 'may struggle' to get Fed on board with MAGA agenda: report

President Donald Trump's next pick to lead the Federal Reserve may have a much more difficult time achieving the president's goals than he thinks, according to a report.

Kevin Warsh, who Trump has endorsed to succeed Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell when he steps down in May, could take over the central bank at a time when the president is seeking to dramatically cut interest rates. However, justifying that among the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors may be more difficult than it seems, given the economic climate and policymakers' skepticism, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday.

Enraged Trump threatens banks trying to 'undermine' his agenda

President Donald Trump had a searing response Tuesday to the banking industry, saying that banks were trying to "undermine" controversial legislation he has touted.

Trump has pushed the Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for U.S. Stablecoins, also known as the GENIUS Act. The bill seeks to create a legal framework for stablecoins, or digital assets whose value is tied to a physical asset like fiat currency or gold. It has support from the crypto industry, which considers the bill an important step toward mainstreaming digital assets.

John Roberts' 'grimace' of misery flagged by court watchers: 'He looked awful'

Supreme Court insiders were abuzz after Chief Justice John Roberts showed up to President Donald Trump's State of the Union address looking absolutely miserable.

During a roundtable discussion about covering the increasingly politicized Supreme Court, NPR's veteran court correspondent Nina Totenberg observed: "The Chief looked so awful at the State of the Union. I’ve never seen him scowl or have a furrowed brow like that for so long. Do any of you have any sense of why? He’s usually a pretty cool cat. He doesn’t show much. But he certainly didn’t look happy to me."

Supreme Court unveils 2 significant shadow docket decisions

On Monday, the Supreme Court handed down two significant and consequential emergency orders through the so-called "shadow docket," issuing a pair of rulings that largely handed victories to Republicans and conservative activists. In one ruling, they granted an emergency appeal to religious parents suing California to force schools to disclose gender identity information their children chose to keep confidential. Justice Elena Kagan issued a blistering dissent, calling out her conservative colleagues. The other decision, reported by Punchbowl News' Ally Mutnick, pauses a decision by state courts in New York to require a redraw of the only Republican-leaning congressional district in New York City. This decision ensures the redraw won't take place, or at least cannot be used, until after the 2026 midterms, and throws a lifeline to Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, who would have been all but doomed had the redraw moved forward this year.
