The White House launched a new webpage on January 6 offering Trump's version of events from the Capitol riot. A timeline included on the website has a tile that claims former Vice President Mike Pence "didn't have the courage" to refuse to certify the election, a claim that Pence has forcefully refuted in previous interviews.

Heritage Foundation president Kevin Roberts kicked off the flight of staffers after releasing a video defending far-right pundit Tucker Carlson’s friendly October interview with Nick Fuentes, an avowed white nationalist who has previously praised Adolf Hitler. Vance has found himself crumbling in the polling, according to The Guardian's Simon Tisdall, who notes that the vice president has been backing Trump. But doing so has been a detriment to his own projections of being the next President of the United States, Tisdall claims, and Vance may soon hit his breaking point.
