The 118th Congress has become known as the least productive Congress in decades, largely due to Republican House members' infighting.

Former Rep. David Jolly (R-FL) argues in a Sunday op-ed published by MSNBC that not only does President Joe Biden ending his reelection bid likely increase Democrats' chance of beating Donald Trump, but "congressional Democrats have now been untethered from one of the great questions that had been facing them in November."

Comedian Chelsea Handler responded to Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance over the weekend after he insulted women by claiming the country was being run by "childless cat ladies."

In a viral video shared on X, Handler noted that Vance's remarks were "ruffling a few feathers."

During an appearance on MSNBC on Sunday, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, acting as a private citizen, joined the pile-on afflicting Sen. J. D. Vance that has been unrelenting since the Ohio Republican was selected by Donald Trump chose him to be his 2024 presidential running mate.

Speaking with host Jen Psaki, the former Democratic mayor of South Bend, Indiana subtly leaned into the narrative that Americans find Vance "weird" based on a history of comments over the years that have the Trump campaign reeling.

As the man known as "Mayor Pete" explained to the host, "Where do you start? You know, they selected somebody who really reminded many Americans of why they are put off by the turn that the Republican party has taken in the last two years."

A Fox News segment went off the rails on Sunday after conservative pundit Ben Domenech shouted down left-leaning contributor Laura Fink.

During a Fox News Media Buzz program segment, host Howard Kurtz pointed out that the network's latest poll suggested Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump were essentially tied in swing states.

Vice President Kamala Harris' approval rating has risen to 43 percent, a jump of 8 points from a week ago when she entered the race for president, according to an ABC News/Ipsos poll released Sunday. Her disapproval rating dropped from 46 percent to 42 percent.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump's approval rating dropped 4 points, from 40 percent to 36 percent. His approval had ticked up slightly after an attempted assassination attempt.

During an appearance on CBS' "Face The Nation," Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) faced off with host Robert Costa when confronted with Sen. J.D. Vance's criticism of "childless women" with cats having no stake in the future of America.

The Ohio Republican, who was chosen by Donald Trump to be his vice presidential running mate in the 2024 election, has been swamped by criticism since Vice President Kamala Harris became the Democratic nominee to the point that GOP insiders fear Vance has done irreparable damage to the ticket.

On Sunday, Costa asked the unmarried South Carolina Republican, "Senator, I understand your focus on Vice President Harris, the presumptive Democratic nominee, but there are also many Americans who do not have children. You're also not just a senator, you're a political strategist , you work informally with former president Trump and so many Republicans. You have a political mind, is it a mistake for Senator Vance to keep talking about Americans who don't have children when it comes to a national campaign?"

"Right, yeah. I don't have children," Graham parried before adding, "But I'm going to vote for J.D. and Trump because I think we'll be safer and more prosperous and more secure. I want to end the Biden-Harris debacle."

"You know you should never say anything to hurt anybody's feelings, but when you look at all these interviews by J.D., but he was talking about how the Democratic party has abandoned the traditional family."

He later added, "So this idea of trying to marginalize J.D. and make him some kind of bad person is not going to work. He's not a bad person, he's a good person. He has served his country honorably and is going to help president Trump win."
