Watch: Veterans booted from North Carolina GOP event after asking them to respect election

Several veterans and military families appear to have been kicked out of the North Carolina Republican Party convention in Greensboro after trying to get attendees to commit to a pledge that would condemn violence incited by former President Donald Trump and respect the peaceful transfer of power, according to footage released on social media.

The video, posted by the liberal-leaning news outlet Cardinal & Pine, showed members of the groups Veterans for Responsible Leadership and Common Defense being ejected. "Time to go. If you're not a delegate, time to walk out. There's the door," said an official at the event.

Trump put on notice he could be jailed for 'inciting violence' at his Bronx 'hate rally'

Former President Donald Trump's "hate rally" in the Bronx on Thursday put the whole community in danger, said former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner in a Friday edition of his "Justice Matters" show — and more than that, it may have violated the rules placed on him by the court as a defendant.

Trump's rally, which in typical fashion had far fewer people than Trump claimed it did, is the latest of his attempts to campaign around his criminal trial in Manhattan, and was billed as an event to connect with Black and Hispanic voters.

Melania wouldn't have any 'free time' if she went to all Trump's trials: Fox News analyst

Former First Lady Melania Trump is not attending her husband's criminal trial in Manhattan at least partly because she doesn't want to take up her own "free time" doing it, National Review reporter John Fund explained to GB News' Steve Edginton.

Trump is charged with felony falsification of business records, for allegedly concealing payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels, which Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg argues amounts to a plot to defraud voters in the 2016 presidential election. It is the first of four criminal trials Trump is set to face, and given procedural hurdles and delays in the other three, may be the only criminal trial he faces prior to the November election. Trump's wife has been conspicuous only in her absence.

Senator explains how a lower court can put down the hammer on the Supreme Court corruption

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) has some options for holding the Supreme Court accountable that don't involve expanding the court or some of the other proposals from Democrats on curbing ethical problems.

Speaking on MSNBC Friday, with host Katy Tur he explained that the recent release of photos of Justice Samuel Alito's home showing insurrection flags has renewed public interest in justices recusing themselves when they have clear conflicts of interest. There was an upside-down American flag and an “Appeal to Heaven” flag, both of which were adopted by the attackers of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

Judicial ethics expert who sided with Samuel Alito 'reversing himself' with 'new evidence'

A judicial ethics expert who previously was willing to give Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito a pass on the extremist symbol on his property, is now convinced he did in fact act unethically, according to The Washington Post.

The analysis came as part of a report that Senate Democrats are putting new pressure on Chief Justice John Roberts to call for Alito's recusal from the two upcoming Trump cases, involving whether he has presidential immunity from prosecution and whether people involved in January 6 can be charged with obstruction of Congress.

Former President Donald Trump's longtime associate Steve Bannon has a message for the American people: we will reshape the country in our image.

“Let's be real, Ilhan Omar, she wasn't born in this country, she's lucky to be here, so she should be defending religious freedom,” Greene told Raw Story this week while walking from the Capitol back to her office across the street.

Trump quietly working with GOP on bill making it impossible to prosecute him: report

Former President Donald Trump is reportedly laying the groundwork to make it so he can be effectively above the law if elected to a second term this November.

According to a Friday report in Rolling Stone, Trump is reaching out to Republicans in Congress and urging them to pass legislation to make it illegal for local district attorneys and state attorneys general to charge him with crimes. The bill is called the "Stop Political Prosecutions Act," and would shield all former presidents from all non-federal prosecutions by allowing a president to move those cases to federal court.
