'What is he doing?': Morning Joe rips Lindsey Graham for latest Trump-pleasing showboating

On Thursday morning, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough pounced on Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) after the GOP senator went on a tirade aimed at President Joe Biden for giving notice to Israel that he would withhold offensive weaponry if a planned assault on Rafah in the Gaza strip goes forward.

That led Graham, who raged in a hearing before Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, to complain bitterly and invoke the usage of atomic weaponry on Japanese cities at the end of World War II.

'They don't care!' Morning Joe mocks GOP for risking majority with 'bizarre' stunts

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) failed in her leadership challenge against House Speaker Mike Johnson, and MSNBC's Joe Scarborough said she and other hard-right Republicans genuinely don't care whether they're in the majority.

Many hardline conservatives represent heavily gerrymandered districts that ensure their own seat is safe, and the "Morning Joe" host said those Republicans would rather rant and rave on the House floor and on social media than take responsibility for governance, so they'd almost prefer to let Democrats take control.

'Historic': Ex-White House lawyer believes Cohen is immune to Trump's main line of attack

Michael Cohen has nothing to lose when he faces down Donald Trump — and the showdown is going to be "historic," an ex-White House attorney who's worked closely with the man said.

Norm Eisen, who worked with Cohen during the first impeachment case against the former president that involved allegations of foreign interference in the 2016 election, believes him to be a 'truth teller" — and the fact that he's spent time in prison already means Trump's team's potential attacks on him are vastly weakened.

As former U.S. President Donald Trump and congressional Republicans campaign on extending their 2017 tax cuts if elected in November, a government analysis revealed Wednesday that doing so would add $4.6 trillion to the national deficit.

When Trump signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act during his first term, the initial estimated cost was $1.9 trillion. Last year, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projected that extending policies set to expire next year would cost $3.5 trillion through 2033.

Maricopa Republicans censure AZ Supreme Court because it rejected election lawsuits

The Maricopa County Republican Committee has censured all seven of Arizona’s Supreme court justices for “failure to perform their duties fairly and impartially” because they rejected bids by Kari Lake and Abe Hamadeh to overturn the 2022 election and allowed a defamation case against Lake to continue.

The MCRC’s Executive Guidance Committee unanimously adopted the censure on May 7, condemning the actions of Arizona’s high court for “unjustly” dismissing the 2022 election challenge cases of Republicans Lake and Hamadeh, as well as for allowing Republican Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer’s defamation suit against Lake to move forward.

Pro-Trump attorney slapped with new charges for allegedly breaching voter information

Stefanie Lambert, a pro-Trump attorney, has been indicted on new charges by Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, who is additionally charging Adams Township Clerk Stephanie Scott, alleging the pair helped someone access confidential voter information.

According to The Detroit News, "Nessel, a Democrat and the state's top law enforcement official, revealed the charges in a news release, which didn't detail specifically which pieces of data were allegedly made available to an unauthorized individual through what Nessel's office described as a '2020 election voter data breach.' Lambert, an attorney who was once involved in a suit to overturn Democrat Joe Biden's 2020 presidential victory in Michigan, illicitly transmitted data from the Adams Township electronic poll book 'concerning the 2020 general election under the direction of Scott,' the statement from the Attorney General's office said."
