Internet mocks Trump for 'NYFD' mistake: 'I built NYC and I can't even spell it'

Donald Trump's a native New Yorker yet somehow when he posted a nod to the city's esteemed FDNY agency for welcoming him at a firehouse to deliver some pizza pies — he did so using the acronym "NYFD."

And when it clearly was discovered to be a mistake for the 45th president and real estate mogul who called the Big Apple home for several decades and apparently "built the skyline of New York" — the Truth Social post was deleted with new ones properly using the FDNY in its place.

'Now you will go to jail': Conservative lawyer shows how judge could crack down on Trump

Former President Donald Trump should be thrown in jail if he does not immediately cease his attacks on jurors and witnesses in the Manhattan hush money trial, conservative attorney George Conway urged on MSNBC Thursday evening.

The former president was already hit with $9,000 in contempt fines by Judge Juan Merchan earlier this week following a hearing on his violations of the gag order, and Merchan warned at the time that he wasn't above sending Trump to jail as punishment for repeat offenses. He should be willing to follow through on that, Conway said.

Trump's latest attack on jurors 'worse than anything else' he said: former prosecutor

Former President Donald Trump's attacks on the jury are the most destructive thing he is doing in the Manhattan criminal hush money case, said former prosecutor Jeffrey Toobin on a CNN panel Thursday evening — and Judge Merchan should be worried about it.

The former president has mostly gone after potential witnesses, like his former attorney Michael Cohen, which also violates his gag order and has resulted in a contempt fine from Judge Juan Merchan. But he has also frequently claimed the jurors are liberal Trump haters who cannot be trusted to judge his case fairly.

A single, short text message discussed during former President Donald Trump's hush money trial in Manhattan carries an "ominous" sign for the former president, legal expert Norm Eisen explained in a writeup for CNN on Thursday.

The text came about during the testimony of Keith Davidson, an attorney who represented adult film star Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen McDougal. Both allege they were sexually involved with Trump, and received payments to buy their silence. The Daniels payments, and the alleged illegal methods Trump took to conceal them, form the basis of the prosecution.
