A criminologist suggested on Thursday that the gunman who killed conservative activist Charlie Kirk may have been trying to prove that they are "sniper worthy."

Kirk, 31, was killed while giving a talk at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. He was shot in the neck from about 200 yards away, according to reports. Law enforcement officials said on Thursday that the shooter may have been staged on a nearby rooftop overlooking the tent Kirk was underneath at the time he was shot.
