Trump's megabill could turn out to be the GOP's death knell: analysis

A new MSNBC article by former RNC chair Michael Steele claims that Senate Republicans aren't just deciding whether to add $3.8 trillion to the nation's debt by passing President Donald Trump's massive spending bill; it's also deciding on the future of the party itself and the people it claims to represent.

"Is it a party of Trump — tossing new parents, tipped workers and seniors a few crumbs while cutting the social safety net and giving very wealthy individuals a massive tax cut?" Steele asked. "Or are there enough old-school conservatives left to make the bill more economically responsible?"

Reporters and social media users questioned whether Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s much-anticipated "Make America Healthy Again" report on children was cobbled together using artificial intelligence after telltale flaws appeared in the document.

A reporter asked White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt during Thursday's press briefing, "I know this investigation found the MAHA commission report released last week cites studies that appear not to exist. We know that because we reached out to some of the listed authors who said that they didn't write the studies cited. So, I want to ask: Does the White House have confidence that the information coming from HHS can be trusted?"

The ABA hasn't yet made any scores during Trump's latest term but in his first, of his 264 nominees, the ABA rated 187 "well-qualified." Another 67 earned "qualified rankings," and ten were rated "not qualified."

Trump keeps foul-mouthed aide hidden from public because of his weight: author

Steven Cheung, President Donald Trump's notoriously foul-mouthed communications director, has long been kept out of the spotlight and has never been considered for a front-facing White House press secretary role in part because of his weight issues, Trump administration biographer Michael Wolff told The Daily Beast's podcast.

Wolff, who has personally been on the receiving end of several of Cheung's insults including "lying sack of s---" over his unflattering portrayals of the Trump administration in his books, said on the episode that behind closed doors Cheung is a much more soft-spoken person and his profanity-laced tirades are just a persona — something other reporters who have gotten close to the White House have echoed.
