David Soucie, a former Federal Aviation Administration safety inspector, told CNN's Kate Bolduan on Friday that he was shocked seeing footage from earlier this week of a helicopter that crashed into the Hudson River in New York City this week.

In an interview, Bolduan noted that the helicopter seemed to fall out of the sky "like a rock" and asked Soucie what his "key questions" about the crash were.

"The fact that they're, you know –– think about the stories in the last four days that the white house is pushing out –– Scott Bessent in charge. He's the one who's negotiating with Japan and one of the main reasons they're doing this is because that's what Wall Street wants," she elaborated. "Wall Street wants Peter Navarro and his hardline protectionist views miles and miles away from the president, because this idea that we're going to onshore all of our manufacturing and we're not going to need those international trading partners, it will take trillions of dollars and 20 years to recreate the global supply chain and bring it all home."

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough on Friday pointed out that President Donald Trump's administration is testing the patience of all courts, including the conservatives who currently run the United States Supreme Court.

Scarborough noted that the Supreme Court unanimously instructed the Trump administration to facilitate the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia to the United States after he was wrongfully deported to El Salvador earlier this year.

As Democrats look to midterms and beyond, President Donald Trump has issued an executive order that a new column from The Atlantic claims could alter the outcome of future elections.

The order, which was signed Wednesday, is asking the Election Assistance Commission (EAC) to set a new standard for voting machines, requiring poll workers to ask for voter identification, and requires all mail-in ballots to be received by election day.
