MS NOW's Symone Sanders Townsend blew up on Monday's edition of "The Weeknight" over Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) and his seeming lack of concern for his daughter.
On Saturday, the senator finally addressed the swirling scandal about his daughter's ex-husband, Rep. Max Miller (R-OH), who has been alleged to have brutally abused his now ex-wife and young daughter to the point of injuries and broken bones.
And yet, Sanders Townsend noted, he went weeks or perhaps even years knowing this and stayed silent as his daughter's alleged abuser ran for Congress on the same ballot as him.
"My father is with the ancestors. He's with the angels, okay?" said Sanders Townsend. "But I think I can confidently say that if I was ever in the situation that Emily Moreno has found herself in, that it would not take my daddy weeks to months to speak up on my behalf."
"I'm sickened by this," she added. Whether voters will care remains to be seen, she continued, but "I am sickened by every single member of the Republican Party apparatus on Capitol Hill that just has not come out, and wholesale condemned it."
And above all, she said, "I'm sickened by Senator Moreno. Where are your cojones? Where's your spine? ... Where's your self-respect? Your self-esteem? There is nothing in this world that is worth your self-respect. I need the Republican Party apparatus across this country to pick it up. Find it, because this is sick."
Miller, for his part, continues to deny all allegations against him and has vowed to stay in the race despite mounting pressure.
