A leading political scientist revealed a chilling prediction Thursday suggesting that the Trump Department of Justice was close to reaching a deal with captured former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

Norman Ornstein, emeritus scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and contributing editor for The Atlantic, said that the deal was inching closer to completion and suggested that Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche would work out a deal with Maduro and his wife over an unsubstantiated claim that Venezuela interfered in the 2020 American presidential election — something President Donald Trump has long complained was "rigged."

"Something I predicted multiple times is about to come true," Ornstein wrote on X. "Blanche is going to cut a deal with Maduro to have him falsely claim that Venezuela tilted the 2020 elections. In return, he and his wife are likely to be in the same prison as Ghislaine Maxwell."...

Former Trump voters are sounding off against the ex-president in a new ad.

Donald Trump is likely going to rely upon people who voted for him before as he works to recapture the White House, but many of those people have vowed never to support the former president again. Their voices were elevated by the Republican Accountability Project, a group that supports non-MAGA conservatives and pushes back on conspiracy theories linked to Jan. 6 and the 2020 election.

Donald Trump's bid to find voter fraud in order to cling to power in 2020 was not an organized one, according to a man who was hired to find examples of fraud but failed to do so.

Ken Block, whose company Simpatico Software Systems was contracted by Trump in November 2020 to investigate assorted voter fraud claims, has a new book in which he recounts his story, according to The Washington Post.

NBC host Kristen Welker was called out by numerous people on Sunday, including former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann, for her coverage of Donald Trump's 2020 election subversion efforts.

Trump made numerous attempts to overturn the election in 2020, which was won by President Joe Biden. The former president now faces local and federal charges in connection with specific allegations that, in doing so, he also broke numerous laws.

In a clip being circulated on social media, Welker said the Supreme Court would review "Mr. Trump's claim that he's immune from criminal prosecution for allegedly trying to overturn the 2020 election." ...

Sidney Powell, a former Trump attorney who pleaded guilty in connection with attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election in Georgia, just got called out by an election official for spreading false claims of voter fraud associated with the upcoming contest in 2024.

Powell, often referred to as "the Kraken" because of her promise to unleash such a creature in her bid to keep Trump in power, on Friday posted what she purportedly thought was evidence of voter fraud efforts coming from Maricopa County, Arizona.
