Legendary Democratic veteran strategist James Carville told the Politicon podcast that everyone is sleeping on a Senate race that no one saw as possibly a candidate to be competitive.

All across the country, Republicans are scrambling as the Senate map shifts against them, pulling money out of states like North Carolina where polls show them all but hopelessly behind, and shoring up incumbents in red states where Democrats are putting up a surprising fight, like Kansas.

But one of those red states that no one seems to be paying attention to, Carville said, is Arkansas — where Democratic farmer Hallie Shoffner is mounting a bid against Sen. Tom Cotton....

Republican Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders caught flak on Sunday after appearing at a NASCAR event in North Carolina while deadly tornadoes are sweeping through her own state.

Sanders, who was recently criticized for "unethical behavior" while employed by Donald Trump's White House that was exposed during the former president's criminal trial, posted on social media on Sunday that her constituents should be concerned about the severe weather systems. In her state alone, at least five people were killed in the storm, according to recent reports.

"I declared a state of emergency to support the communities affected by last night’s severe weather and tornadoes. We remain in close contact with local officials and will continue to do everything possible to help each Arkansan in need," she said on X, formerly Twitter. Nobody is digging the Democratic National Committee (DNC) dancing after former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson bid adieu to the 2024 presidential race.

The DNC's National Press Secretary Sarafina Chitika almost came after Hutchinson like a has-been whose political journey to win the White House croaked long ago.

A local Arkansas newspaper is reporting that Gov. Sarah Sanders is pardoning a turkey at the governor's mansion despite denying clemency to a developmentally disabled convicted murderer.

The Arkansas Times reported Friday that Sanders was slated to spare the fowl in Little Rock.
