Authorities were sharing more information on Saturday after a man wielding a machete was shot and killed after stabbing three people at Grand Central Terminal in New York City, according to reports.

New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the suspect stabbed a 65-year-old man, a 70-year-old woman and an 84-year-old man at the major transportation hub and tourist location, NBC News reported. All three of the victims were expected to survive.

The suspect who rammed his vehicle into a Detroit-area synagogue was killed by a security guard, and his vehicle apparently caught fire from reported explosives inside.

The armed suspect had a rifle and reportedly drove his car through the doors at the location into a hallway, said Sheriff Michael Bouchard of Oakland County, Michigan. His name was not immediately released.

Multiple security guards were at the location during the incident, Bouchard said. One of the security guards was hospitalized with injuries after he was hit by the vehicle. He was expected to recover. No other injuries were reported. ...

Donald Trump on Thursday lashed out at a well-liked Republican senator for seemingly no reason, according to his former aide.

Trump has had harsh words for Louisiana GOP senator Bill Cassidy in the past, but it's not clear why the former president chose today to once again lash out at who he calls "Wacky Bill Cassidy."

Identifying Cassidy as "the incompetent Senator from the great State of Louisiana," Trump claimed the senator "wants to pour vast amounts of money into South American countries in the hope that their economies will become strong and vibrant, and people will stop coming to the U.S."...

My disdain for Trump is clear and warranted.
