'Equal justice time': Mary Trump exposes alleged crimes of her extended family

Donald Trump's niece, Mary Trump, on Thursday exposed what she said are alleged crimes among her extended family.

Mary Trump, who earlier in the day accused Marjorie Taylor Greene of using a bribe to get the V.P. spot under Trump, was responding to the news that Hunter Biden had been hit with new criminal charges.

"Hunter Biden has just been indicted for nine tax-related charges," she wrote on her Substack platform. "Equal justice time: Here is a list of other alleged crimes – many from my extended family – prosecutors need to take a look at."...

Legal expert shreds Trump's main defense in federal elections case

Justice Department prosecutors are reportedly looking into allegations that former President Donald Trump's close associate Rudy Giuliani is a heavy and problematic drinker, which, if the former president was aware of it, would potentially undermine any defense that he was acting on the good-faith advice of counsel when he tried to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

But that might not even matter, argued former Mueller investigation prosecutor Andrew Weissmann on MSNBC Wednesday, because there's a much simpler way the advice of counsel defense fails: there's no evidence Giuliani actually advised Trump to do many of the most controversial things he did in the election plot.

"I have got to say, listening to that tape, Andrew, of Trump saying, I know what happens to people when they drink, the relationship he and his own family have had towards alcohol, and alcohol dependency, the fact that he does not drink, purely on a sort of client-lawyer basis, does it surprise you that he would have sought the advice of Rudy Giuliani, if he was demonstrably inebriated when he was giving him, already, accepted, controversial advice?" asked host Alex Wagner....

Ex-Trump lawyer smacked down by CNN host for suggesting obstructing elections is reasonable

On Tuesday, former President Donald Trump announced he has received a target letter from special counsel Jack Smith — indicating he is likely to be indicted in connection with the January 6 investigation.

But in conversation with CNN's Kaitlan Collins, former Trump attorney Tim Parlatore defended his onetime client's actions — even suggesting that trying to overturn an election was entirely reasonable given what the former president believed to be true at the time.

"Your former client is responding tonight. This is what he said," said Collins, playing a clip of Trump speaking at a campaign stop in Iowa: "So they can cheat on an election, but if somebody wants to question the cheating they want to call you a conspiracy theorist and all these other things. These people are sick."...

'That doesn't sound too surprising': Ex-Trump lawyer unfazed by reported call to pressure Ducey

Donald Trump's former lawyer, who worked for the former president on the Mar-a-Lago documents case, says he's not surprised about reporting that Trump allegedly called Arizona's then-governor in an attempt to reverse his election loss.

Former Trump attorney Tim Parlatore appeared on CNN Newsroom with Jim Acosta Saturday and was asked about a report that Trump spoke to the then-Arizona governor, Doug Ducey, after the 2020 election.

"Ducey, a republican, said the former president was pressuring him to find fraud in the presidential election in Arizona to help him overturn the results of the election," the host said. "What is your reaction to that?" ...
