Former President Donald Trump ally Rudy Giuliani could be forced by an irate federal judge to testify under oath about his personal finances, Scripps News' legal affairs correspondent Ava-joye Burnett reported on Wednesday.

This comes after the judge, Sean Lane, already dismissed Giuliani's bankruptcy protection, finding that he had not been transparent about his finances and failed to meet key deadlines for disclosures. That decision already puts him back on the hook for a number of debts, including a $148 million civil judgment for defamation against Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss.

"Certain procedural issues needed to be worked out before the final order," wrote Burnett. "One of those issues was how Giuliani would pay an approximate $400k in admin fees. There was a hearing today to resolve that problem, but parties involved have always said Giuliani has not been 'forthcoming' about his finances, and that issue persists."...

In a message posted to the conspiracy theory-laden site that he founded, Jim Hoft announced that The Gateway Pundit has declared bankruptcy.

“TGP Communications, the parent company of The Gateway Pundit, recently made the decision to seek protection under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the Southern District of Florida as a result of the progressive liberal lawfare attacks against our media outlet," Jim Hoft wrote in the post.

In December of 2021 Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and her daughter, Shaye Moss sued the site alleging that Hoft and his twin brother Joe Hoft used the site to engage in "a campaign of lies” that “instigated a deluge of intimidation, harassment, and threats that has forced them to change their phone numbers, delete their online accounts, and fear for their physical safety.”...

According to Law & Crime's Brandi Buchman, "In a motion filed Thursday, Giuliani, who owes election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss $148 million for defaming them, asked a bankruptcy court in the Southern District of New York to let him keep his Florida condominium, valued at $3.5 million, as he fights the judgment on appeal."

Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City and a close ally of former President Donald Trump, promoted claims that Freeman and Moss, a mother-and-daughter duo, were stuffing ballots when they were working at a polling center in Atlanta in 2020 — his evidence being that he saw one pass a "USB stick" to another, which turned out to be a ginger mint. Freeman and Moss had their lives turned upside down by the allegations, receiving a constant string of threats and harassment from Trump supporters....

Donald Trump is ready to take Truth Social public, and he's expecting to have a huge cash infusion as a result. But the last time he took a company public, it didn't go so well for the company or investors.

Trump's decision to go public with his right-wing social media company mirrors a move he made with Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts, according to CNBC.

As the former president tries to beat time with limited options as the March 25 deadline closes in to shell out nearly $500 million after he lost his civil fraud case brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James — he is determined to do anything and everything to avoid filing Chapter 11, according to The Washington Post citing multiple sources.

“He’d rather have Letitia James show up with the sheriff at 40 Wall and make a huge stink about it than say he’s bankrupt,” a close Trump source told the outlet. “He thinks about what is going to play politically well for him. Bankruptcy doesn’t play well for him, but having her try to take his properties might.”...
