Norwegian prison authorities have rejected a request by mass killer Anders Behring Breivik to attend the funeral of his mother, who died last week after a long illness, his lawyer said Tuesday.
Anders Behring Breivik, the Norweigan mass murderer who killed 77 and injured 151 in a series of attacks last year, said at trial this week that he targeted the children of Norway's leftist political leaders because they were "in many ways similar to the Hitler Youth."
Anders Behring Breivik pleaded not guilty Monday for his massacre of 77 people in Norway last July in a defiant start to his trial that saw him greet the Oslo courtroom with a far-right salute.
