A columnist is warning that the Trump administration is "stocked" with operatives ready for an assault on American freedom.

Paul Waldman wrote in a Tuesday piece for Public Notice that the "religious right" is "pushing harder every year" for Christian nationalism, and the Trump White House is "stocked" with operatives ready to join the fight.

"The Trump administration is stocked with unapologetic Christian nationalists like OMB Director Russell Vought, the architect of the administration's dismantling of the federal government," Waldman wrote, referring to the head of the Office of Management and Budget....

Mike Bedenbaugh is the author of Reviving Our Republic: 95 Theses for the Future of America, a new book in which he outlines his plan for a “Project 2026”: an alternative to the governmental makeover compiled by the Heritage Foundation before the 2024 election and then pursued by Donald Trump in power, seeking to decimate the federal workforce.

The president of the right-wing group spearheading Project 2025 raised the specter of violence Tuesday against those who refuse to capitulate to what he characterized as "the second American Revolution" ushered in by presumptive GOP nominee and would-be authoritarian Donald Trump.

Kevin Roberts, head of the Heritage Foundation, said in an appearance on "Real America's Voice" that the coming "revolution" will "remain bloodless if the left allows it to be"—a thinly veiled threat against those who resist the far-right's efforts to seize power.

Before Republican Governor Jeff Landry signed into law a bill that requires the Ten Commandments to be displayed in every K-12 and state-funded university classroom last week, he said, "I can't wait to be sued."

NBC News reported Monday that the state's education department was, in fact, sued by nine families.

"The families, who are Jewish, Christian, Unitarian Universalist and nonreligious, alleged in court papers filed in the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Louisiana, that the new law 'substantially interferes with and burdens' the parents’ First Amendment right to raise their kids in whatever religion they want," the news outlet noted....

Former Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis is a Republican Christian, but she wants you to know she's not a Christian nationalist.

Ellis, who already pleaded guilty for her role in the Georgia election subversion scheme for which the former president is also fighting serious criminal charges, on Friday responded to a post by Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk. Kirk, who is battling allegations of antisemitism at his political conference, stated that a "Christian veteran just beheaded a monument to Satan in Iowa’s state Capitol."

"If this is Christian Nationalism, we need more of it. Hero," Kirk wrote on X....
