Donald Trump could have just set the stage for another election defeat, as he says the 2024 race is "ALREADY ON ITS WAY TO BEING ANOTHER RIGGED ELECTION!"

"Look, it is what it is, but isn’t it unfair that I can be running such a great and successful campaign for President, leading in every poll against a corrupt and incompetent President, working so hard in a historic fight to save our Nation, and I have to go through the additional burden of, at the same time, fighting my political opponent’s many DOJ, A.G., and D.A. inspired non-meritorious lawsuits against me," the former president whined on his own social media platform, Truth Social....

The target letter from the special counsel’s office indicates Donald Trump is likely to be indicted under three federal statutes, one of which figures to be the most serious the former president has yet faced from a narrative perspective, a prominent legal expert said Wednesday.

Civil rights attorney and former prosecutor Charles Coleman Jr. said during an appearance on MSNBC’s “All In with Chris Hayes” said the deprivation of rights under color of law is likely to resonate with the public in a way other charges against the former president have not.

“I'm very interested in this deprivation of rights under the color of law,” guest host Ali Velshi said, noting that “it's the one that those of us who get our law training from 'Law and Order' don't understand so well, what does that mean?"...

Former President Donald Trump's target letter from special counsel Jack Smith mentioned a number of potential federal offenses under the January 6 criminal investigation he could face, including conspiracy to defraud the United States.

But one potential charge in particular is something few experts saw coming, argued New York University law professor Ryan Goodman on CNN Wednesday — and it actually makes a lot of sense.

"The target letter mentions conspiracy to commit offense or defraud the United States, deprivation of rights, witness tampering," said anchor Erin Burnett. "Now, it's unclear just because they say three doesn't mean there's only three. You can kind of read the tea leaves on what they're choosing to include those three means. What does it tell you?"...
