Since the 1970s, abortion providers have been the target for arson and bombings by the very people who claim they value life at the moment of conception. The latest example of their hypocritical ideology happened in Pullman, Washington, where a Planned Parenthood clinic was set ablaze at 3:30 AM on a Friday morning.

The Obama administration announced Friday it would stand by a policy that requires virtually all private insurance policies to cover family planning, including female contraceptives, essentially guaranteeing near universal access to birth control once all the provisions of the Affordable Care Act are implemented.

This has to be a quick one, since I'm on my way out the door, but I just wanted to note how annoying it is that the media is buying into the frame that the Democratic abortion plank is somehow demonstrating a step backwards on choice. Reduction of the number of abortions, via family planning, is a pro-choice position. As far as I can tell, the new plank is an improvement, as it now calls for abortions to be "safe and legal" and doesn't include the cop-out "rare."
