A lawmaker who has admitted to pulling a fire alarm in a House office building on Saturday risks being hit with the same charges as alleged January 6th insurrectionists, according to reporters and onlookers.

Raw Story reported earlier in the day that a lawmaker had been caught on camera pulling a fire alarm in the Cannon House Office Building amid a continuing-resolution vote for funding the U.S. Authorities are currently investigating that matter, according to news reports.

If charges do end up being brought against Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY), they could mirror charges in Jan. 6 cases, according to Politico's Kyle Cheney....

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was met with mockery on Saturday when she posted a video of the halls of Cannon House Office Building, where it appeared a fire alarm was going off before a major funding vote.

The fire alarm reportedly forced an evacuation, and future reports suggested Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) was caught on camera pulling it. An investigation into that matter is ongoing.

But before that probe was launched, Greene was quick to inform followers about the fire alarm in an ominous post....

Olivia Beavers, Politico Congress reporter, quoted multiple sources on the issue of who pulled the fire alarm.

"Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) was caught on camera pulling the Cannon fire alarm ahead of this motion to adjourn vote as Dems tried to delay the CR vote, multiple sources tell me," she said on Saturday. "We have reached out to him for comment - we haven't viewed footage ourselves."...
