The Girl Scouts pushed back against a viral right-wing claim that the organization is teaching girls Islam by dismissing it as "misinformation."

In a statement put out on social media on Tuesday, Girl Scouts of the USA broke its silence after MAGA podcaster and self-described White House correspondent Natalie Winters framed longstanding faith-recognition programs as the "Islamization of Girl Scouts across America" in a post on her Substack.

In her Substack article, Winters pointed to mosque-based troops incorporating prayer, Ramadan observance, hijab lessons, and medals reading "Girl Scout of the Islamic Faith."...

Remember the Girl Scouts kerfuffle from last month? An Indiana lawmaker read Something on the Internet about how Girl Scouts are in cahoots with Planned Parenthood to reign terror and abortions on impressionable young girls, and proceeded to rail against the Girl Scouts as a "radical organization" which promotes "homosexual lifestyles" and allows "transgendered females to join just like any real girl."  Remember how we laughed and laughed and ordered an unreasonable number of cookies out of spite?  Good times.

It's midnight at a Maryland mall and here come 1,500 young girls, alive with energy, out for a full night of scavenger-hunting, jewelry-making, face-painting, karaoke and more.

A Republican lawmaker has become only member of the Indiana House to refuse to honor the Girl Scouts 100th birthday because he said they have become a "radicalized organization" that promotes the "homosexual lifestyle."

This one was particularly entertaining, from Sharon Kass, whose bigotry has blinded her to the point where she's joined in on a vicious conservative attack on a 7-year-old who wants to join the Girl Scouts.
