Trump immediately starts fundraising off guilty verdict in criminal case

Former President Donald Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts in the New York trial that has left him officially a convicted felon.

In a brief statement to the press outside the courtroom, Trump ranted that the country had "gone to hell" as a result of the verdict and the lack of immigration reform. He went on to attack the jury, the judge, and the district attorney.

Trump found guilty on all counts in first-ever criminal trial of a former president

A New York City jury found former President Donald Trump guilty on several counts of falsifying business records to conceal hush money payments ahead of the 2016 presidential records, according to breaking reports.

Jurors spent fewer than 11 hours deliberating and had only a few specific questions. One related to the testimony of former National Enquirer/AMI chief David Pecker and another requested a re-reading of the jury instructions.

At the close of the second day of deliberation, the jury was told that they would be sent home at 6 p.m. EST. The judge announced that he would allow jurors to go home at approximately 4:30 p.m., and the jurors responded by saying they have a verdict and need about 30 minutes to fill out the form, MSNBC reported on air. ...

If Donald Trump's hush money jury renders a guilty verdict — his words against letting convicted felons vote could sting.

'Accountability is here': Ex-prosecutor predicts conviction after Trump hush money trial

Donald Trump is likely going to be convicted in the hush money cover-up case he's currently facing, but the real punishment is being forced to be a criminal defendant, a former prosecutor said Sunday.

Legal analyst and former federal prosecutor Renato Mariotti appeared on MSNBC's Alex Witt Reports, where he was asked about whether or not Trump will be held accountable for any potential wrongdoing.

"Big picture, Renato, do you think some sense of accountability is near for Donald Trump, given everything in his legal sphere that is going on?" the host asked....

Trump aide flags the 'main thing to watch' to see if ex-president's support will fade

A man who voted to support Donald Trump on Saturday but was stumped about who to vote for if the former president were to be convicted could give us a clue about the 2024 election, Trump's former communications director and assistant said.

CNN interviewed a man named Max, who said the former president's 91 criminal charges didn't give him any pause to vote for him in the GOP primary election in South Carolina, in part because of the voter's own prior run-in with the law. But when asked by a CNN reporter about what he would do if Trump was found guilty on one of those charges, the man froze, saying, "Hold on" and then suggesting it would have a significant impact on his voting decision.

People like Max are who we should be watching to see if Trump's support is deteriorating ahead of the 2024 contest, according to Alyssa Farah Griffin....

'Hold on': Trump voter stumped when asked what he'd do if ex-president is convicted

A man who voted for Donald Trump in Saturday's GOP primary in South Carolina didn't know how to answer when he was asked who he'd vote for in the event the former president is convicted of a crime before the general election.

A CNN reporter interviewed a man identified as "Max," who said he voted for Nikki Haley to be governor of South Carolina, but voted for Trump over her as president. When asked by the news outlet about his reasoning, Max suggested Trump had proven he was up to the job by actually having been president.

Max also cited that Trump's presidency had a positive benefit on his Christian faith and his family....
