Mockery after Trump Education Department 'dweebs' hit with brutal community note

Mockery after Trump Education Department 'dweebs' hit with brutal community note

The Department of Education tried to compare President Donald Trump to a tiger, only for community notes to clarify it compared him to Adolf Hitler.

On Wednesday, the Education Department posted a clip from the film "Darkest Hour," which is about British Prime Minister Winston Churchill facing a threat from Nazi Germany.

The clip featured Churchill, portrayed by Gary Oldman, shouting, "You cannot reason with a tiger when your head is in its mouth." It then cuts to a montage of Trump smiling and waving, suggesting that he's the "tiger."...

'Merry band of looters' at Trump DOJ accused of paying millions to 'disgraced' FBI agents

The top-ranking Democrat in the House Judiciary Committee published a letter on Tuesday accusing Trump's Department of Justice of forcing the FBI to pay a "merry band of looters" and disgraced agents, including white nationalist allies and a Jan. 6 participant.

"It has come to our attention that you have used your office to improperly shower government cash on Donald Trump's political operatives and sycophants," Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) wrote in a letter to Acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche.

According to Raskin's seven-page letter, Blanche oversaw a DOJ office that ordered the FBI to "pay millions of dollars" to nearly a dozen "disgraced" agents accused of "criminal activity" and "major breaches of national security." ...

Trump echoes Hitler’s rhetoric ahead of upcoming 'Nazi-esque' rally in New York: columnist

One of former President Donald Trump's final campaign rallies won't happen in one of the seven must-win battleground states, but in deep-blue New York City. And one columnist is drawing parallels between that upcoming rally and a 1939 Nazi gathering.

In a Saturday essay for the Guardian, Sidney Blumenthal — a former advisor to both Bill and Hillary Clinton — opined that Trump's October 27 rally at Madison Square Garden will likely be his "most unsettling spectacle yet." He further elaborated that the venue Trump chose for the event is the same location used by the Adolf Hitler-supporting German American Bund in 1939.

According to Blumenthal, this is just the latest signal that Trump's MAGA movement has gone deep into the Nazi rabbit hole. He observed that both MAGA and the German American Bund have the "America First" slogan in common, along with the racist and anti-Semitic "Great Replacement" theory....

Trump 'admires Hitler' — and the media is missing it: attorney

Trump 'admires Hitler' — and the media is missing it: attorney

Former President Donald Trump's admiration for Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler is well known, well documented — and the news media has somehow let it remain unknown to most voters, warned attorney and writer Daniel Miller on X Friday evening.

This comes after a week where the former president has been largely absent from the news cycle, as President Joe Biden has faced a blizzard of media scrutiny for his low-energy performance in last week's presidential debate in Atlanta.

"Look. I get it," wrote Miller. "There is more than one issue that’s important in this race. I get that Biden’s debate performance, as well as related issues, is news. But can we also spend some time on the fact Trump seems to have an odd interest & even an admiration of Hitler & Nazis?"...

Trump just sent 'a call to his supporters' to repeat Jan. 6: former GOP governor

Donald Trump and his allies may say that the former president was taken out of context in his warning of a "bloodbath" for the country if he loses the election, but a former Republican governor says that argument is nonsense.

Former New Jersey Republican Gov. Christine Todd Whitman appeared on MSNBC's The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart, where she was asked about Trump saying there would be a "bloodbath for the whole country." Earlier in the day, a White House correspondent argued that it was clear Trump's comments referred to more than just the auto industry.

"So governor Whitman, you know, he loves to mush a lot of stuff in what he says, then his campaign says he was only joking or it was taken out of context or, he wasn't talking about violence on the country. I call B.S. on that. Am I wrong?" the host asked. ...

Inside the neo-Nazi hate network grooming children for a race war

Two rabbis sat down for dinner at Chabad Jewish Center in Pensacola, Fla.

The air on this July evening was warm and tranquil. A sense of peace filled the kitchen where the men shared their meal.

Suddenly, something crashed through the window, sending glass flying. The rabbis rushed over to investigate. Scrawled on the brick that lay on their floor: a swastika and the words “No Jews.” ...
