CNN's Wolf Blitzer continuously challenged Israel's Ambassador to the United States, Yechiel Leiter, for claiming the charges of Israeli-imposed starvation in Gaza were fabricated.

During a lengthy interview Tuesday, Blitzer confronted Leiter with a video of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu denying reports of wide-spread starvation, and another of U.S. President Donald Trump admitting, "That's real starvation stuff, I see it. And, you can't fake that."

"Nobody could avoid seeing the pictures we're seeing coming out of Gaza, although many of them are in the service of Hamas propaganda and some of them are are doctored in A.I., but there is definitely a crisis in Gaza," Leiter said....

New York City Mayor Eric Adams came under fire this week for losing his temper at an elderly woman who complained at his town hall about a rent increase on rent-controlled apartments.

“First, if you’re going to ask a question, don’t point at me and don’t be disrespectful to me. I’m the mayor of this city and treat me with the respect that would deserve to be treated. I’m speaking to you as an adult," Adams said. “Don’t stand in front like you treated someone that’s on the plantation that you own. I’m a grown man. I walked into this room as a grown man and I’ll walk out of this room as a grown man. I answered your question – go to the next table."

Israel held a day of remembrance on Thursday for the 6 million Jewish men, women and children murdered by Nazis and their collaborators during the Holocaust. Sirens sounded for two minutes in the morning. Cars stopped in the street and people stood still to commemorate the dead. Afterwards, a remembrance ceremony with top Israeli officials and German Bundestag President Bärbel Bas began at the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem. Holocaust survivors attended a ceremony on Sunday at the former Nazi concentration camp of Buchenwald near the central German city of Weimar to commemorate its liberation. Among the 16 survivors of the prison camp was Anastasia Guley, a 96-year-old woman from Ukraine who survived after going through the Auschwitz, Buchenwald and Bergen-Belsen camps. Guley fled to Germany after Russia invaded her homeland and now lives in Saxony-Anhalt, the state neighbouring Thuringia, where Buchenwald is located. Holocaust survivor and author Inge Deutschkron has died at the age of 99. Her death was confirmed by the Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe on Wednesday, citing people in her close circle. Deutschkron had become well-known through her autobiography "Ich trug den gelben Stern" (I wore the yellow star) about her dramatic survival story as a Jew in Berlin.
