GOP senators turned on their own party's handling of the final stretch of Congress and faulted leaders for burning precious floor time.

Republicans spent their final hours in the Capitol staging votes they knew would fail, The New York Times reported Thursday. The votes were meant to show voters the GOP was working on rising costs, but they produced no meaningful results.

Sen. Jim Justice (R-W.Va.), a longtime ally of President Donald Trump, is urging the administration to pull back on its immigration sweeps. He says ICE is removing people who have been part of their communities for years.

GOP senators sounded off on Sen. Mitch McConnell's (R-KY) extended absence and suggested a rule change to claw back leverage, according to a new report from NOTUS.

In a Thursday article, GOP senators discussed the key votes they're losing in Senate committees while McConnell has been hospitalized for most of the past two months.

"We're at 52," Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) told NOTUS, referring to how the GOP is effectively short of the 53 seats it nominally holds in the Senate. "This is the reality."...

West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice is blaming Democrats for his financial troubles that have led to a luxury resort he owns facing foreclosure and auction.

According to the nonprofit outlet Real WV, Justice, a Trump-loving coal magnate who briefly switched from the Republican to the Democratic Party to run for governor before switching back to the GOP, put out a statement through his company about the potential selloff of the Greenbrier Resort, an extravagant luxury property in the southern part of the state commonly used by House Republicans for their retreats.

Justice is running for the Senate seat being vacated by retiring independent Sen. Joe Manchin — and is claiming, without evidence, that the foreclosure is a political move to embarrass him....
