CNN blisters Trump's election claims in scathing fact-check ahead of national address

A CNN anchor fact-checked President Donald Trump's election claims in a segment that prefaced the president's primetime speech about election meddling.

John King looked at Trump's insistence that the election was "rigged" and "stolen," as well as the dozens of lawsuits he's filed in battleground states. The only thing the Trump administration had said about his Thursday night speech was that it would focus on election meddling.

King noted that if Trump had won a lawsuit to overturn the results in Georgia, "That would have changed the math, but not enough. Joe Biden is still the president."...

MAGA hats disappear as deep red stronghold turns on Trump: 'I challenge you to find one'

MAGA hats are disappearing in one deep red county, a telling sign of how President Donald Trump's support is waning in communities that once supported him, according to a new CNN report.

"For eight years, there were Trump signs on every corner, there were flags. You couldn't go to a grocery store without seeing a red MAGA hat," Chris Anderson, the chair of the Mahoning County Democrats in Ohio, told CNN's John King. "I challenge you to find one."

King confirmed, "It's true."...

'A bull in the china shop': Not all Republicans are pleased with Trump's first week

Depending on who you ask, Donald Trump's return to office was either "fantastic or frightening," according to CNN anchor John King, who spoke to nearly 100 voters to gauge how the nation was feeling at the end of his first week. But even voters who said they were excited about some of Trump's policies worried that by Friday, the president seemed "like a bull in a China shop."

Predictably, most of the voters who identified themselves as Republicans found Trump's straight-out-of-the-gate style kicking off his second term, "refreshing," while at least one Democrat called him "unhinged."

Then there were the "middle-ground" voters King spoke with. He quoted one business owner from a Philadelphia suburb who cast her ballot for Trump because she liked his promises to cut taxes and reduce regulations....

CNN's John King says Trump just created 'a Democratic campaign ad already made' for 2026

CNN's Inside Politics pundit John King claimed that President Trump's pardons on the J6 rioters and reports he was inviting some of them to the White House was ripe material for Democrats to use against "vulnerable House Republicans" in 2026.

During a roundtable discussion Wednesday, Washington Bureau Chief David Chalian said, "Donald Trump feels emboldened in this moment as he takes that popular vote victory, the larger electoral margin victory than he had the last time around, into the White House. We described that transition, and now I think we're seeing what that feeling of an emboldened Donald Trump looks like in action, because, as you say, he really wants to do this."

Chalian added, "It is clear that Donald Trump feels completely entitled, emboldened to to go the hardest he can on stuff." ...

Oops: CNN host calls Romney 'Governor Mormon'

Almost everyone knows that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney belongs to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but CNN host John King made the association all to clear Saturday by referring to him as "Governor Mormon."
