Trump's poll numbers with key demographic shock CNN data guru: 'Oh my goodness'

CNN data guru Harry Enten couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the latest figures showing President Donald Trump's declining favorability among a group that helped him return to the White House.

During a segment about Trump's planned UFC fight on the White House South Lawn, CNN anchor Kate Bolduan and Enten looked at numbers reflecting how young men feel about the president.

"Younger men, specifically, who are the big fans of UFC and Donald Trump, of course, put in a historic performance with back in the 2024 election for a Republican candidate for president," Enten explained. "He actually won them. He won men under the age of 30 by a point. Look at his net approval rating now."...

'Thin skinned': Dem lawmaker takes brutal swipe at 'weekend news anchor' Hegseth

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) told CNN what he really thought about Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth during a Friday appearance with anchor Kate Bolduan.

Bolduan asked about Thursday's fiery Pentagon briefing on the Iran strikes, saying, "You had some harsh words mocking the Defense secretary for his, I'll call it an 'emotional speech,' during the Pentagon briefing. What is your take on why the Defense secretary is handling questions about the mission the way that he is, and berating reporters for accurate reporting?"

"Well, he's very thin skinned," Swalwell began. "You know, for someone who likes to thump his chest and thinks that he can define who a warrior is and isn't and, you know, has tried to remove women from combat roles — he has shown himself to be quite unstable at these briefings. And that's probably because he's quite unqualified. ...

'Fool's errand': Ex-Trump aide warns Hegseth he is making latest scandal worse

Alyssa Farah Griffin, who served in the first Trump administration, had a warning to Defense secretary Pete Hegseth and other leaders to back off their attacks on the public for wanting more information on the Iran attacks.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed the U.S. "obliterated" the Iranian nuclear facilities in last weekend's bombings, despite a lack of evidence. Thursday, Hegseth gave what CNN anchor Sara Sidner called an "extraordinary" press conference, where he accused the media of "spinning" a preliminary report "to try to cause doubt and manipulate the...public mind, over whether or not our brave pilots were successful."

Griffin told CNN that Hegseth's press conference was performative in order to please Trump, who staged his own attack on the media at Wednesday's NATO summit....

'None of that is true!' Expert laughs out loud as he hears Trump's grand claims

A nuclear policy expert laughed off the Trump administration's claim that the U.S. completely "obliterated" Iran's nuclear enrichment capabilities that could be turned into nuclear weapons.

After the U.S. military dropped a payload of ground penetrating bombs on Iran Saturday, President Donald Trump claimed, "Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated," during his address to the nation. In a follow-up post to social media, Trump claimed again, "Obliteration is an accurate term!"

CNN's Kate Bolduan introduced a clip Tuesday of Vice President J.D. Vance continuing to say the U.S. "obliterated Iran's nuclear program."...

'King Henry VIII!' Legal scholar compares Trump to history's worst despots

'King Henry VIII!' Legal scholar compares Trump to history's worst despots

Former Harvard constitutional law professor Laurence Tribe compared President Donald Trump's disregard of the law to some of history's worst autocrats in a CNN interview Wednesday.

Tribe's comments came after Trump upped his retaliatory measures against the Ivy League university for defying him on issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as allegations of antisemitism. So far, Trump has threatened to cut billions of dollars in grant money and attempted to revoke Harvard from enrolling foreign students — a move that has since been blocked by a federal judge as a "blatant violation" of the Constitution.
