President Donald Trump's own chief of staff is steering White House leaks that break sharply with the president, author Michael Wolff alleged.

During a Saturday episode of "Inside Trump's Head," Michael Wolff pointed to two same-day stories, one in the New York Times and one in The Washington Post, that both built on unnamed advisers contradicting Trump. The first had aides pushing back on Trump's dismissal of AI fears as a "hoax." The second had them warning he should be far more worried about the midterms.

Trump "usually reacts very badly to leaks, but the nature of this leak, and the nature of the way it's expressed, both of them, the AI story, and the midterm story, is 'advisers,' not 'a adviser,'" Wolff said. "So they're speaking to, in both instances, more than one person, and where there's more than one person... that means it's likely to come from the top."...

The Pentagon forced dozens of members of the Joint Staff to take polygraph tests as it hunts down internal leakers, The New York Times reported.

According to the report, the polygraph tests took place in August after numerous news reports came out about the Iran war diminishing the stock of long-range missiles, Patriot interceptors, and other crucial munitions.

About 50 members of the U.S. military's Joint Staff had to take polygraph tests over leaks to journalists, an anonymous insider briefed on the move told The Times....

A top White House official has become so frustrated with seeing details of the Trump administration leaked to the press that she's begun cracking down internally, according to a new report.

White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles sent an email across the Executive Office of the President telling staff to stop leaking information to the press, Politico reported on Friday.

According to Politico, the email stated that "no staff member within the Executive Office of the President is permitted to speak with members of the news media without the explicit approval of the White House Communications Office," adding that "unauthorized leaks" can get them fired....

Leaks exposing White House-peddled lies about the Iran War's toll are "forthcoming," a journalist warned Wednesday as he predicted it will also cost a Trump Cabinet member a job amid other botched cover-up efforts.

David Rothkopf, the chief global affairs columnist for the Daily Beast, wrote on Wednesday about "what seems to be a growing number of sources in the intelligence community and the military who are disturbed enough by the administration's actions" in Iran and at home to hide how bad it's going.

The intelligence community is so disturbed, in fact, that "they are taking the risk of leaking facts that tell the real story of Trump and Hegseth's clusterf---," Rothkopf added. "Journalists with whom I have spoken indicate that more such reports of administration misrepresentation of what's happening in and around the Iran War are forthcoming." ...
