Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) provided what one legal expert referred to as a "non-denial denial" when asked about a potential lie during her response to President Joe Biden's State of the Union.

Raw Story reported on Friday that Britt had been alleged to have told an "out and out lie" during her breathless response to Biden's speech. Essentially, a reporter accused Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) of making false statements when she discussed the horrors of a girl sex-trafficked by Mexican cartel members.

"These events didn't happen in the United States," said the journalist in a video. "These crimes didn't take place in the United States. Or even near the border. They took place in Mexico."...

One of the sharpest critics of former President Donald Trump from within the 2024 Republican primary has proven to be former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who — much like when he ran in 2016 — has missed no opportunity to take broadsides at the former president when he can, on everything from his broken promises to his current legal jeopardy. On Wednesday morning, Trump fired back on his Truth Social platform, calling Christie a "TOTAL LOSER" who "desperately wanted to join the Trump Administration, but I said 'NO!'"

But that's laughable, Christie said in an interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN.

"The former president attacked you online early this morning, I guess, number of accusations," said Cooper. "Just to pick one, he said you 'desperately wanted to join the Trump administration, but I said no.' True?"...
