Hilarity as ex-DOJ attorney delves into Trump's secret Mar-a-Lago bathroom stash

A former Justice Department pardon attorney believes President Donald Trump "very likely" has a secret stash in his Mar-a-Lago bathroom.

DOJ whistleblower Liz Oyer made this claim during a Saturday episode of "The Jim Acosta Show" during which she suggested Trump has quietly prepared clemency for people around him in case he suddenly leaves office.

"It is a near certainty that he will pardon broadly his cabinet members, his family members, those advisers who are in good graces with him by the end of the administration," Oyer said. "And I think it's very likely that he has already signed off on some of those pardons just in case something should happen to him before he gets to the end."...

Jim Acosta dismayed as 'highly dubious' Ghislaine Maxwell prison form unearthed

Former CNN anchor Jim Acosta said he's alarmed by the redactions in a recently released Ghislaine Maxwell prison transfer form.

In a Wednesday episode of "The Jim Acosta Show," former Justice Department pardon attorney Liz Oyer spoke to Acosta about the redactions in a transfer application given to Bloomberg investigative reporter Jason Leopold earlier this week. Maxwell was moved from a federal prison in Florida to a minimum-security facility in Texas shortly after then-Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche paid her a visit.

"What they're trying to do for Ghislaine Maxwell is really, it's just unconscionable," Acosta told Oyer. In a video posted earlier this week, Oyer explained that "almost every single part of the form is redacted."...

'Bizarre scene' behind Todd Blanche's swearing-in detailed by former DOJ attorney

Former Justice Department pardon attorney Liz Oyer described the "bizarre scene" that took place at Attorney General Todd Blanche's swearing-in.

During a Saturday interview with former CNN anchor Jim Acosta, Oyer described how DOJ employees had to come out of their office to applaud Blanche after he was sworn in by Emil Bove, another former personal lawyer of President Donald Trump.

"He was sworn in in a private event at the White House that was not open to the press," Oyer told Acosta. "You would know better than I, but I think that's unusual that the press is not invited to the swearing-in of the Attorney General."...

DOJ whistleblower torches 'staggering' Trump move that gave fraudster a 'second chance'

A Justice department whistleblower on Saturday tore into President Donald Trump for what she described as a "staggering" decision to give a fraudster a "second chance."

During an episode of The Lincoln Project Podcast, former DOJ pardon attorney Liz Oyer argued that Trump's pardons were "fundamentally different" from others made in the past.

"He has pardoned quite a few individuals who committed fraud involving government programs, including Medicare and Medicaid," Oyer said. "He's also pardoned all manner of white collar frauds, including those that involve stealing money from investors."...

DOJ whistleblower urges Senate to probe whether Todd Blanche dodged records laws

A Department of Justice whistleblower is pressing the Senate to investigate Trump's nominee for Attorney General.

In a Wednesday piece, fired DOJ attorney Liz Oyer shared a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee where she sounded the alarm about absent records related to her termination. She urged the Senate to probe Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, who is waiting for confirmation to take the role full-time.

"I respectfully suggest that this Committee should probe whether Mr. Blanche has complied with the Federal Records Act or is using forms of communication that evade oversight," Oyer wrote in a letter that detailed how she can't find documents she says should exist per federal law....
