Chaos as singing protesters take over town council meeting in blue district
An activist dressed up as a purple bong and another protester singing songs derailed a New Jersey city council meeting, TMZ reported Thursday.
During public comment at the Cranford Township meeting Tuesday, a man who called himself "Bongholeo," dressed up as the smoking apparatus and carried a car seat with his son "Bongholito." He sang along to the tune of Lizzo's hit song "It's About Damn Time," but instead inserted his own lyrics: "It's big bong o'clock, yeah, it's hit 30." He walked away from the podium when he was finished.
It wasn't his first time at a city council meeting, and in 2024 he got kicked out of an Edison council meeting, TMZ reported....
