American voters are broadly skeptical that President Joe Biden is mentally fit to serve a second term, and most do not think his potential general election rival Donald Trump is mentally fit either, according to a Quinnipiac University poll published Wednesday. Sixty-four percent of respondents in the poll said Biden was mentally unfit for another term, a bleak data point for the president in a survey where he nonetheless outperformed his topline numbers in many other polls. Fifty-one percent of voters told the pollster they did not think Trump was mentally fit for a second term on Pennsylvani......

Former President Donald Trump will make his first Michigan campaign stop of the 2024 election year in Oakland County on Saturday. Trump's campaign announced the visit Monday. FORT WORTH, Texas — Aisles of steel containers, overhead fluorescent lights and the booming voices of two Marine veterans tasked with delivering a secure election set the stage for a mock election on Thursday. NEW YORK — A political scramble erupted on Friday after the expulsion of now ex-Rep. George Santos left his Long Island congressional seat vacant, forcing a special election to fill it. Within minutes of the historic vote to oust Santos, Gov. The editor of a small Kansas newspaper that was raided by local police in August fears the town will continue to lack transparency after an outspoken councilwoman, whose home was also searched by officers, was replaced last week by voters. But the incoming mayor of Marion, made up of about 2,000 people in south-central Kansas, has vowed to improve transparency and said the councilwoman’s ousting meant residents simply wanted change. Marion Councilwoman Ruth Herbel, who took office in 2020 and serves as vice mayor, came in last in the local election with 236 votes. She was defeated by two other......

City leaders and employees in Shawnee, Kansas, are shocked, left wondering about the future, after some employees received an email containing an explicit video of their new city manager masturbating. Doug Gerber, who was hired as city manager in March, did not personally send the video to employees. Nor was it sent from the official city computer system. It was emailed to multiple employees Sept. 29 by an anonymous third party who, in recent emails with The Kansas City Star, said they wanted to reveal Gerber’s online behavior. After hearing of the video this week, The Star on Monday filed a K......
