(Reuters) - Montana has given final approval to the controversial Canada-to-Texas Keystone XL oil pipeline, even though the project still faces obstacles with the federal government and Nebraska, the governor said on Thursday.
WASHINGTON — US lawmakers pressed President Barack Obama on Wednesday to green-light the massive US-Canada "Keystone" pipeline that has drawn heavy fire from environmentalists, saying the project will create jobs.
Dozens were arrested at the White House Saturday as protesters began a two-week sit-in expected to draw over 2,000 opponents of a proposed pipeline from Canada to the US Gulf Coast.
