President Donald Trump's new White House press secretary appears to have tried to scrub parts of her online past before taking the role.

Katie Zacharia, named to the post Friday, has a "sordid online history" she seemingly worked to wipe from view, The Bulwark reported Saturday.

Zacharia previously served as a spokeswoman for then-Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, appeared regularly on Fox News and Newsmax and most recently advised Trump Media and Technology Group....

President Donald Trump is telling advisers he wants a man to replace outgoing White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, according to NOTUS.

Trump has told close advisers he would prefer a man for the job after four female press secretaries across his two terms, two anonymous sources familiar with the conversation told the outlet. The pick would be meant to head off comparisons with Leavitt, who plans to leave the White House at the end of August, according to reporting by NOTUS.

Trump has shown interest in Scott Jennings, a conservative media pundit widely reported to have been the frontrunner for a bit. One source told NOTUS that Trump is not sold on the idea, however. Ari Fleischer, who served as press secretary under President George W. Bush, has also been floated, according to NOTUS....

The White House has unflinchingly adopted a slur coined by Donald Trump to describe anyone who fears the worst will come from his tariffs, inflation, and trade wars.

Trump's new label came shortly after he announced his "liberation day" tariffs and promised "90 deals in 90 days," that were met with a healthy dose of skepticism.

"The United States has a chance to do something that should have been done DECADES AGO," the president wrote on Truth Social at the time. "Don’t be Weak! Don’t be Stupid! Don’t be a PANICAN (A new party based on Weak and Stupid people!). Be Strong, Courageous, and Patient, and GREATNESS will be the result!"...

Steve Bannon, the right-wing podcaster and former adviser to President Donald Trump during his first term, made a bold prediction for Politico about the future of the current White House press secretary.

“After she’s spokesman for a year or two, I think she’s going to get a Cabinet position. Maybe chief of staff,” Bannon told correspondent Adam Wren for his extensive profile on Leavitt.

Wren added that Leavitt was "open to the idea but has said she’s not qualified to be chief," according to a source "familiar with her thinking."...
