Stunning video from Chicago's Midway airport shows a passenger plane aborting its landing at the last minute to avoid colliding with a private jet.

CNN aviation expert Pete Muntean recounted the incident:

"This morning at about 10:50 Central Standard Time, this Southwest flight...was coming in to land on Midway's 3-1 Center. Very busy airport, huge hub for Southwest Airlines. This is what's called a 'go around' or an 'aborted landing.' You may have experienced this on a commercial flight. Usually, pilots do this when the approach is unstable, or there's wind or there's wind shear. In this case, this is called a 'runway incursion,' meaning an airplane on the runway where there shouldn't be. That's the private jet, the Challenger 350, there taxiing out in front of this flight."...

NASHVILLE, Tenn (Reuters) - The parents of a nine-year-old girl who flew unaccompanied to New York and was allowed to deplane in Baltimore, said they will drive to get her after the holidays rather than risk another flight.

Leisha Hailey, an actress who starred on "The L-Word" and performs in electro-pop band Uh Huh Her, took to the Twittersphere Monday evening in a tirade against Southwest Airlines.

Actress Leisha Hailey, known for her work on lesbian-centric television show "The L-Word," claimed that she was escorted off a flight operated by Southwest Airlines this week because she is gay.
