‘Strategy and manipulation’: Artist draws truth from Trump’s face at hush money trial

NEW YORK CITY— Jessica Jarva scanned the growing line of anxious people waiting alongside the New York City courthouse where Donald Trump was on trial.

The sun had set and rain fell unabated. Jarvaland, as the artist calls herself, knew she, too, would be spending a rainy night in a dark alleyway — for the love of Michael Cohen’s right eyebrow.

“It’s incredible,” the Brooklyn artist told Raw Story of the Trump fixer-turned-foe’s arching brow. “Some people are a delight to draw.” ...

Ex-prosecutor shows why 'today was a good day for Trump’s prosecutors'

Ex-prosecutor shows why 'today was a good day for Trump’s prosecutors'

The day that Donald Trump's criminal hush money cover-up case finally went to the jury was also a "good day" for the ex-president's prosecution, one legal expert said.

Former federal prosecutor Kristy Greenberg explained Wednesday what it could mean that the jurors requested certain testimony to be rehashed for them as they began weighing the felony charges against Trump. According to Greenberg's analysis, the jurors appear to be following a script laid out by the prosecution in its closing arguments.

"Today was a good day for Trump’s prosecutors: the jury has requested precisely the evidence that ADA Steinglass told them in his closing to focus on that proves the election law conspiracy," she said, noting that "Steinglass referred to the August 2015 meeting at Trump Tower as 'really the prism through which you should analyze the evidence in this case,' the 'meeting that hatched the election law conspiracy,' and evidence of Trump’s direct involvement in the election conspiracy."...

'That surprised me': Stormy Daniels lawyer dishes about Trump attorney's 'failed' subpoena

Donald Trump's defense team apparently sent Stormy Daniels a subpoena demanding documents — but then apparently didn't do anything to actually secure them.

Porn star Stormy Daniels' attorney Clark Brewster made the odd admission on CNN's "The Source" when Kaitlan Collins asked him about the opportunity the defense had to call his client as a defense witness.

"Actually, the lead lawyer sent an emailed subpoena to me requesting documents," Brewster said. "It had no legal effect."...

Trump whines about 'very unfair' trial detail he says gives prosecution a 'big advantage'

Trump whines about 'very unfair' trial detail he says gives prosecution a 'big advantage'

Donald Trump on Monday complained about a procedural detail he says gives prosecutors a major advantage in the criminal hush money cover-up case against him.

Trump, who earlier in the day was said to be dropping hints about not-yet-public jury instruction details, took to Truth Social to address the case in which he's charged with falsifying business records to hide payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels allegedly meant to influence the 2016 presidential election.

Specifically, Trump complained about the order in which the jury will hear the closing arguments from Trump's legal team and the New York prosecution's attorneys....

There is one word prosecutors should be worried about in Trump criminal case: legal expert

There is one word prosecutors should be worried about in Trump criminal case: legal expert

The Manhattan criminal hush money trial is wrapping up, and many legal experts think the prosecution is on solid footing — but there's one single word in the law that they potentially have to worry about, former prosecutor Charles Coleman told MSNBC's Alex Wagner.

Trump is charged with felony falsification of business records, upgraded from a misdemeanor, for his alleged hush payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels. Prosecutors argue this was effectively interference with the 2016 election, by using illegal means to keep this information hidden from voters.

"Let me just start first with the strength of the case as it stands right now," said Wagner. "I mean, the misdemeanor charge, falsification of business records, seems pretty provable based on what's been presented. I feel like there's a lot of concern about the felony charge and how tight you think the prosecution's case is."...

Melania wouldn't have any 'free time' if she went to all Trump's trials: Fox News analyst

Melania wouldn't have any 'free time' if she went to all Trump's trials: Fox News analyst

Former First Lady Melania Trump is not attending her husband's criminal trial in Manhattan at least partly because she doesn't want to take up her own "free time" doing it, National Review reporter John Fund explained to GB News' Steve Edginton.

Trump is charged with felony falsification of business records, for allegedly concealing payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels, which Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg argues amounts to a plot to defraud voters in the 2016 presidential election. It is the first of four criminal trials Trump is set to face, and given procedural hurdles and delays in the other three, may be the only criminal trial he faces prior to the November election. Trump's wife has been conspicuous only in her absence.

In response to Edginton suggesting it was strange the she hadn't yet turned up, Fund said, “Well, there are going to be four trials. If you showed your support publicly in all four trials, you wouldn't have much free time, would you?”...
