Following heightened political tensions in the wake of the Charlie Kirk killing, a California City Council meeting this week descended into chaos and violence, according to multiple reports.

Chicago letter carriers face bullets and beatings while postal service sidelines police

CHICAGO — As a little girl in the 1980s, Khalalisa Norris aspired to become a letter carrier. She’d sit on her front porch in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood and wait for her local mailman, and eventual mail lady, each day.

In her 20s, Norris realized her dream, and ever since, she’s delivered mail on Chicago’s West Side.

'Campaign of terrorism': Federal agents reportedly gearing up for wave of MAGA violence

Some argue former President Donald Trump has already incited political violence, as was the subject of his second impeachment for inciting the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol — and he appears to be ratcheting up to do it again, Mother Jones national affairs editor Mark Follman writes.

"Demagoguery in politics is as old as the republic, but no president has ever engaged in a campaign of incitement against Americans like Trump has," wrote Follman. "It has worked on individuals and mobs, the latter most infamously when Trump paved the way for the January 6 insurrection. After the 2020 election, I was among the first to report on this campaign of terrorism by the freshly defeated president, about three weeks and then just a few hours before the attack on the US Capitol. [then-House Speaker Nancy] Pelosi’s name was on the lips of the armed and violent Trump extremists there, too."

Pelosi's family would ultimately face the consequences of this violence, as a man broke into her house and brutally assaulted her husband with a hammer....

Trump aide defends ex-president's violent imagery — and gets schooled by fellow Republican

It's just a video on social media. That's what Trump's former special assistant said about the ex-president sharing a video that includes an image of President Joe Biden tied up on his side with a bullet hole through his head.

Marc Lotter, who also served as a press secretary to Vice President Mike Pence and then became president of a communications firm, appeared on CNN to discuss Trump's latest actions.

Specifically, he was asked about the recent instance in which Trump, Lotter's former boss, posted something that included an image of President Joe Biden bound and gagged in the back of a truck with a bullet hole in his forehead....

Man who threatened to kill election official sentenced to 2.5 years

Los Angeles (AFP) - A man who repeatedly threatened to kill an Arizona election official was sentenced to two and a half years in prison on Monday, as investigators warned of increasing hostility towards poll workers ahead of this year's high-stakes US votes. Joshua Russell, from Ohio, directed numerous expletive-laden tirades against the person chiefly responsible for the smooth running of the 2022 mid-term election in Arizona, the state's department of justice said. "Mr. Russell made three phone calls to the office of then-Secretary of State Katie Hobbs threatening to put her in the ground o......
