The top-ranking Democrat in the House Judiciary Committee published a letter on Tuesday accusing Trump's Department of Justice of forcing the FBI to pay a "merry band of looters" and disgraced agents, including white nationalist allies and a Jan. 6 participant.

"It has come to our attention that you have used your office to improperly shower government cash on Donald Trump's political operatives and sycophants," Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) wrote in a letter to Acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche.

According to Raskin's seven-page letter, Blanche oversaw a DOJ office that ordered the FBI to "pay millions of dollars" to nearly a dozen "disgraced" agents accused of "criminal activity" and "major breaches of national security." ...

Reporter Elle Reeve, known for her deep dive into issues of white supremacy for Vice and CNN, wrote in a new article Monday that her childhood experience with a stalker armed her to handle fascists in today's political climate.

Reeve's article for Slate detailed how she learned to handle "evil" after years of dealing with her next-door neighbor, an angry man who stalked and harassed her family for years.

"I spent my entire teenage years at war," she wrote. "Not a real war, but a psychological war, followed by a legal one. It did not have a happy ending. At the time, when explaining it to my high school friends, I referred to the situation as “my evil neighbor.” Decades later, I understand what happened: My family had a stalker."...

Sean Kauffmann, a neo-Nazi and violent white supremacist whose harassment of LGBTQ+ people and journalists has been highlighted by Raw Story, faces charges for aggravated assault and child abuse following a report that he punched the mother of his infant son in the head.

A sheriff’s deputy in Perry County, Tenn., was dispatched to Kauffmann’s home in Linden, Tenn., at about 8:09 p.m. on March 22, according to a police report obtained by Raw Story.

Kauffmann’s partner, whose name is redacted in the report, told the deputy that Kauffmann “assaulted her by punching her numerous times in the face and head, while she was holding their infant son.” ...

It’s the call that no parent wants to receive.

Kari Lake will not sever ties with antisemites and white nationalists as she works to claim a seat in the U.S. Senate, an Arizona columnist warned state voters this week.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — An avowed white nationalist who openly supports Russia is a member of the U.S. Army Reserves, recently served in the North Carolina Army National Guard and worked for a local sheriff’s office as a detention officer, according to a Raw Story investigation.

Christopher Woodall, 34, of Winston-Salem, N.C., has a long history of activism in the white power movement that coincided with his service in the U.S. military and government work.

In an interview this week with Raw Story, Woodall acknowledged that he is the author of texts that promote a “white nationalist training group," and added: “I don’t see it as an issue to have a white-friendly group of people that get together and teach each other.” ...
