Trump seems eager to ignore 'major political problem' hiding under his nose: analyst

President Donald Trump seems to be eagerly ignoring a major political problem right under his nose, according to one political analyst.

David Pakman, host of the liberal "David Pakman Show" on YouTube, said in a new reaction video on Sunday that Trump's handling of the U.S. economy could come back to bite him and the Republican Party as the midterms approach. Pakman argued that the economy was the central reason why so many people voted for Trump in the first place, and his seeming reluctance to acknowledge the economic challenges many Americans face could prove disastrous.

Last week, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said the DOJ was not moving forward with the fund, but Trump directly contradicted that statement on Sunday by telling NBC News's Kristen Welker that he believes people who were prosecuted for rioting on Jan. 6, 2021 should be paid.
