Trump claimed 62 percent of the vote with 89 percent of the total votes counted about 9:45 p.m., according to the Times.
This victory comes after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled Trump could not be bumped from the state's ballot under the 14th Amendment's insurrectionist ban.

Former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden secured a fresh wave of delegates with wins in Alabama, Arkansas, and Maine, according to calls from NBC News and the Associated Press.
Meanwhile, polls are still too close to call in Vermont for the Republican primary, where Trump is neck and neck with former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.
Trump and Biden win Oklahoma and Tennessee, Biden Takes Massachusetts

Former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden both won the Oklahoma and Tennessee primaries, per projections from NBC News, the Associated Press, and The New York Times.
Meanwhile, Biden also took Massachusetts, according to projections from NBC News and The New York Times.
Ironically, as votes were first reported in Oklahoma, the Republican primary there appeared to show a brief lead for former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who dropped out of the race several weeks ago.

These victories are on par with an unsurprising start to Super Tuesday where both frontrunners — Trump and President Joe Biden — have continued to easily claim contests across the state.
Trump has also secured Virginia and Biden has won primaries in Virginia and Iowa.

President Joe Biden wins Iowa primary

President Joe Biden claimed victory in Iowa’s first vote-by-mail Democratic presidential contest, according to predictions from the
Associated Press and the New York Times.
The Iowa Democratic Party results were the first to be announced on Super Tuesday.
Biden received about 91 percent of the vote, the Associated Press reports.
“Uncommitted” came in second with 4 percent and U.S. Rep. Dean Phillips and Marianne Williams each with less than 3 percent.
The victory adds 40 delegates to Biden's roster.
Super Tuesday Need-To-Know
Fifteen states are hosting primaries and caucuses on Super Tuesday, a definitive day for the 2024 presidential election, but one that will not decide the 2024 presidential nominees.
The frontrunners remain President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, despite efforts from long shot challengers Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN), Democrat author Marianne Williamson and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R).
On Tuesday, Democrats and Republicans in 15 states and the U.S. territory American Samoa will vote on preferred candidates. Iowa will also conclude its mail-in Democratic primary. Officials will then tally those votes and award delegates to represent their communities at the upcoming nominating conventions.
Super Tuesday makes for a pivotal campaign day with 854 Republican and 1,420 Democratic delegates up for grabs. But despite the big numbers, neither Biden nor Trump will be able to secure enough to land the nomination on Super Tuesday.
Trump secured only 273 of the 1,215 delegates he needs to take the majority and win the nomination. Even if he wins every available delegate on Super Tuesday, he’ll remain 88 shy.
The same goes for Biden, who won 206 before Super Tuesday and needs 1,420 delegates to secure the nomination. A landslide Super Tuesday would still leave Biden 343 delegates short.
These calculations do not account for wild cards such as Nikki Haley, who has secured 42 delegates and claimed victory in the District of Columbia primary.
What remains probable is the 2024 presidential race will once again pit Biden against Trump, but that likelihood isn’t likely to become a certainty until later this month.
