Melania Trump draws fire over 'awfully strange' photo-op at National Archives

More than a few questions are being raised over an invitation extended to Melania Trump to be featured at a ceremony at the National Archives which is being construed by some critics as a photo-op that could help with Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign.

According to a report from Politico's Michael Schaffer, it is "awfully strange" that Melania is the featured guest at the scheduled naturalization ceremony considering the fraught relationship between the National Archives and Donald Trump, who has been in a protracted battle over stolen documents stored at Mar-a-Lago.

Alarms raised over missing classified Russian intel file last seen with Trump: report

According to a report from CNN, U.S. intelligence officials are searching for a missing file containing highly sensitive information about Russia as well as information about Russian interference in the 2016 election.

As the report notes, the fact that the file, also containing intel compiled by NATO allies can't be found and was last seen in the possession of former president Donald Trump. That has both senior U.S. intel officials and European allies concerned.

Republican Party leaders who served in 2020 offered their accounts in court Thursday of what they knew prior to 16 individuals signing and submitting false electoral votes for former President Donald Trump, who lost the presidential election that year.

Wednesday’s and Thursday’s proceedings in Lansing were held for the cases against Michigan GOP National Committeewoman Kathleen Berden, Amy Faccihinello, Mari-Ann Henry, John Haggard, Michele Lundgren and former Michigan GOP Co-chair Meshawn Maddock. There are nine others facing charges.

"The show began with a clip of Giuliani speaking to ABC News’ Terry Moran outside the courthouse on Monday, making the same false claims that brought about the lawsuit from Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss to begin with. 'They were engaged in changing votes,' Giuliani alleged," said the report. "After Moran quoted Giuliani's attorney in The Daily Show segment, saying in court that if the jury were to award Freeman and Moss the full amount, then that would 'be the end of' his client, Daily Show guest host Kal Penn chimed in. '‘The end of’ Rudy Giuliani? Oh, no. That sounds… awesome!' he said. 'The end of Rudy Giuliani is like the best-case scenario. Why is Rudy’s lawyer threatening the jury with a good time?'"
