'Donald Trump is losing': Law professor tells Mary Trump her uncle faces legal losses
Donald Trump is on a losing streak in his legal cases, a law professor told the former president's niece, Mary Trump, in an interview published Tuesday.
"Any day is a good day if Donald Trump is losing and that was today," said Jen Taub during the conversation. "And so sorry. I know I've heard he may be a family member of yours, and I don't mean any offense, Mary."
Mary Trump, who has herself been a vocal critic of her genetic relative, asked Taub about how "it's a terrible day for Donald legally in three separate cases." Taub replied beginning with the case involving defamation and sexual assault allegations.
"And so one thing that Donald Trump has never wanted to be admitted into evidence is that Access Hollywood video," Taub said, referring to an incredibly vulgar Trump video. "And so this is something he doesn't want to admitted, but the judge is going to allow it in as evidence of his intent, which goes to the punitive damages aspect of this tort of defamation."

Regarding an alleged "discovery failure," that Trump had failed to file any documents in the Mar-a-Lago case, Taub said, "I've never heard of such a thing."
In the immunity appeal hearing on Tuesday, Trump's attorneys reportedly dropped the ball when saying ex-presidents would be immune from prosecution if they directed a hit against an enemy in a different party.
"This is very scary. His lawyers made those arguments today," the professor said. "I don't think the judges are going to buy it, but I just think that alone sounds like it should be its own crime that the lawyers made those arguments."
